Telephone voice – slow down, don’t overflect and pause!

Interesting research paper from the American Association for Public Opinion Research as reported in Time Magazine finds that persuasion rates are higher with voices that:
1)  Aren’t too fast or too slow – 3.5 words per second;
2)  For men, deeper is better;
3)  More monotone than inflexive;
4)  and Pause Pause Pause!
